Am I the only one thinking it should be later than the clock says it is? I fell asleep early last night by the hands of the clock but my body clock said it was time for bed. Am I just getting old, or is all this fall back spring forward stuff harder to adjust to than it used to be?
And as if that wasn't enough, the temperature has changed once again, too. The calendar says it's mid autumn but the thermostat hitting 90 degrees today says it's still summer. (We won't even go into what my body thermostat says it is...that is another sad post all together.)
Is this what they call an Indian summer? I plan on taking full advantage of this sunsine by working in the garden today. My hubby was kind enough to bring home some bedding annuals for me to perk up my flower beds with...snapdragons, pansies, dianthus and lobelia are just calling my name.
These pictures from my trip to Old Town Spring, Texas totally have me inspired. Can you spot the butterfly in each picture? I think I'll start with the pots on the front porch and work my way around to the back patio.
Nothing like sunshine and pretty annuals to usher in November in California. Better get to it, it will be dark sooner than you know it!
